Hiking

After Church on Sunday Dad, Michael and I went on a hike. The boys were looking for a geochach and I was going along for the fun of it.

The boys in my family have been hooked on this geochaching for about the last 6 months. It is basically a high tech game of hide and seek or treasure hunting. Anyone can place a jar anywhere and then log the coordinates online to the website. Once posted, other people can go looking for it. Once they find it, they can open the jar and log that they found it. That is the simple explanation of it.
Anyways, the boys wanted to go looking for one on Sunday and it just happened to be on the top of a mountain in the valley. I spent the whole time on the hike being the girl of the group and pointing out all the beautiful wildflowers that covered the trail. It was absolutely gorgeous outside and the flowers were beautiful.

Pinning Ceremony Tonight!

Well, I am off to get my hair done, pick up my Aunts from the airport, spend the afternoon with the girls, and then go to the pinning! SO EXCITED!

Pictured above is the announcement that I sent out last week. I had someone great design them.....my wonderful husband, Shaun. I didn't want to do something expensive or over the top, so I asked Shaun to make one for me. He has been doing design work on the side as a hobby lately and I think he did a great job!
Thanks again babe!

Anyways, I am off to start the day! I will post a ton of pictures tomorrow!

Graduation Dinner

On Saturday night, I celebrated my graduation from Nursing School. My family and Shaun's family went out to dinner and had a wonderful meal. The 13 of us enjoyed catching up with each other and celebrating.

My family:

Shaun's family (minus one) :

I got some wonderful gifts!
(ok, so you can't really tell in the picture, but they are some super cute nursing shoes!! I was really excited to get them!)

My nursing pinning ceremony is on Tuesday. A pinning ceremony is a traditional nursing ceremony. It is a symbolic welcoming of newly-graduated nurses into the nursing profession. The new nurses are presented with nursing pins by the faculty. We all have to dress in traditional white scrubs and get "pinned".

I purchased my white scrubs yesterday and they are hanging in my room, waiting to be worn. Tomorrow, I will be cleaning and getting ready for my Aunts to come into town. I am also getting my hair and nails done. :)
Tuesday is the big day. This is such a huge accomplishment for me and I am happy to get to celebrate all of my hard work!

Thanks again to all of my wonderful family! I had such an amazing time with all of you. Thanks for all of the great gifts!
